As I wrote before, we could stop to take a rest on the bridge though the car drivers weren't allowed to do the same. The first picture shows one of the whirlpools from the bicycle path. The stream was really rapid. The cargo ship which was sailing downstream was really fast.
The Shikoku-side starting point of the Shimanami Route was shot in the third picture. The entrance consists of three kinds; for cars and motorcycles, for small motorcycles up to 50cc and for pedestrians. It is amazingly nicely designed on the complex topography.
The last picture but one shows the car that we got on. The destination display read "out of service". People who didn't know how it worked would wonder who were the people getting their bicycles out of the car.
I was really tired. I was unused to doing such hard exercise, but the cycling was comfortable. I decided to apply for this JR's special service for cyclists again. Needless to say, the person who was lying on the seat in the last picture is me. I'm afraid that there will be so many people that I wouldn't be able to lay down like this next time.
