My mother turned eighty this month. She gave birth to three boys, who had healthily grown up and went into responsible jobs respectively. Two of them, including me, are medical doctors, and the other is a journalist. We live apart now, but we got together today to celebrate our mother's healthy longevity. Her grandchildren were present too. Her sisters suffer from dementia or have already passed away, but she is fit enough to perform the Shikoku 88 pilgrimage and collected all the autographs of each temple out of 88 temples. You can see the autographs on the hanging scroll in the picture. I've already written about the Shikoku 88 pilgrimage here(link). Please refer to the linked article.
People of her generation have been required to rebuild Japan after it had been devastated by the Greater East Asian War and their task has been completed. I hope that they'll spend peaceful days from now.

Now that I have some time, I'll restart writing entries.
It's 0:30 on Oct.16th(Sun) and I'll join a big event today.
I have to go to bed at once. Good night!

Your mother honestly does not look 80 years old. She must be such a proud mother. To have raised such successful children is the dream of every parent.
