We lined up for the ropeway connecting the east and west sides of Mt. Hakone and crossing over the Owakudani vent. Owakudani vent and the crater lake of Ashinoko Lake are seemingly the configuration formed by Mt. Fuji. I expected that the ropeway would be simple with only two gondolas going up and down passing by each other, but I was wrong. When the passengers get on and off, gondolas were detached from the main rope and moved extraordinarily slowly for the passengers' safety. They reminded me of those of Whistler resort in Canada. I felt an irresistible impulse to visit Canada again.
