I got a half day-off today and I went out for a walk in Sapporo City. I got on the subway train at the nearest station, Makomanai. The first picture is the monument of the Sapporo Olympic Games in 1972 which stood in front of the station. A famous arena was near here, so I thought this arena (http://www.makomanai.com/openstadium/) might have been constructed at the same time as the Olympics.
The weather forecast said that it would be sunny today. The breeze was chilly and I felt like I was in Vancouver, which is one of my favorite places.
The second picture shows us in front of the TV tower, which was one of the sightseeing points in Sapporo, but I don't know why. It's not so high and so beautiful. It might have some historical importance.
