The River Windrush was flowing through the town of Bourton-on-the-Water and the town seemed to be literally floating on the water. The appearance was of more elegance than that of Venice, though I've never been to Venice. I found more people along the river than in other towns which I had visited before in the Cotswolds. Just walking along the river was fun. According to my travel guidebook, the Motoring Museum on the riverside seemed to house several classic cars and lots of toys and the Model Village, a ninth scaled Bourton-on-the-Water sounded also fun, but we gave up seeing them as we wanted to visit the birthplace of Shakespeare. The time was really limited.
