The 1st picture shows the Otaru Canal Restaurant. I already found and knew about it from a guide book and it looked like a restaurant complex. I didn't have any appetite but I dropped in out of curiosity. I was surprised to see the inside because the inside was the world of a half-century ago. I don't know how to describe it in English. It's just like a backdrop for making movies. I'm 48 years old now. The world around me was just like it used to be 40 years ago, that is to say, my childhood. There was a mom-and-pop candy store that had many kinds of candies, tiny cheap toys and anything that little boys and girls are fond of. I keep remembering that I ran into such stores as soon as my parents or grandparents gave me small coins. I was so delighted and took lots of pictures to show to my parents. I posted some of them here. The girl in the picture is my daughter.
