About 800 rally officials were divided into some small groups and the group that I belonged to was called "F mountain", which consisted of 100 members give or take. We, members of F mountain were told to gather at a Japanese-style inn located on the first floor of the hotel. The welcoming meeting was supposed to be held at 10 o'clock in the evening, so I went there with a memo pad. I expected to get important information from the authorities, like from the FIA (Federation Internationale de I'Automobile), but the meeting was over only in 30 seconds. We were required to show up at the lobby at 8:30 the next morning. That was it. After that, the meeting was simply a party. It was so much fun.
