"The United States on Sep. 11th removed North Korea from its list of countries that sponsor terrorism", State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said. I blew a gasket to hear this news. North Korea has never changed its brutal totalitarian regime at all. Why did the U.S. lift the sanctions? What on earth will the U.N. do about this issue?"
U.N. is translated into "国際連合" in Japanese. This Japanese phrase has a feeling that it was made out of countries from all over the world. I think this is a miss translation and it might be deliberate. The U.N. must have been translated as "連合国機構" meaning Allies Organization. In other words, the U.N. is the Allies itself. Besides, five countries that have been responsible for the history's worst things are occupying the most important position of permanent council members.
The U.S.:
Obviously, they dropped the atomic bombs in two Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They also carried out the carpet bombings in more than 100 cities. These bombs killed mostly general citizens, not military personnel.
United Kingdom, France:
They conducted the worst-ever colonial occupation in Africa and Asian countries. They had been causing various hardships in the lives of the native people.
Russia:
They have been expanding their territory and now they are trying to get a hold on Georgia. It has been just like a deadly virus.
China:
First of all, they are under qualified. China of Allies means Republic of China. It never means People's Republic of China. When the U.N. was established (Oct. 24th in 1945), People's Republic of China didn't exist on the globe. They were founded on Oct. 1st in 1949.
Japan is being forced to finance this irresponsible association, but doesn't have enough voice. Why? The amount of Japan's contributions is the second highest and actually Japan has paid. In previous times, the Japanese Prime Minister had asserted Japan should be designated a permanent member, citing Japan's contributions to the United Nations. A person from South Korea that falls behind on its assessed contributions is the Secretary General now. It is quite absurd.
The assessed contributions of Russia and China are smaller than those of Japan, but their voices are stronger. Why? The U.N. is fraught with internal contradictions, I think.
