This was our breakfast of Day 3. It was the typical and traditional breakfast in Japan. What do you think was the food in the smaller round bowl? It was Natto, fermented soy beans, noted as a healthy food in Japan, but many foreigners would hate it. An Australian official was sitting next to our table and I was observing him out of curiosity. I guessed that he would leave it unattended, but he completed his breakfast. Moreover, he knew how to eat it. He must have been used to Japan. He stirred it enough and added an egg and a little soy sauce. It was the perfect mannerism. He noticed and smiled at me, and I said, "Perfect" with a smile.
