I feel gloomy about the devastated people who have to stay in a shelter during such cold nights, but I'm writing about something happier for now. If not, I would be depressed. It will need such a long time measured in terms of 10-year units to recover from this catastrophe. I think of long-lasting aids for them to rise up, such as utilizing the products of eastern Japan, travelling there and timely donations for various events.
It's 2300 on the 14th. I'm in the safe office. Just now, lots of personnel are reportedly said to be on the go to repair the plant. They must be working in the exposure to the high-level toxic radiation. Some of them might lose their lives. I'm full of gratitude for their devoted work.
Anyway, I'll write about my new bike in the next entry.

I too feel for those risking their health and lives--and possibly ending up giving the ultimate sacrifice as they fight a battle against time, trying to stop the radiation.
My prayers are with all of you in Japan.
