I threw away two helmets today. One is for off-road motorcycles and the other is for on-road ones. I had worn the former from 1996 to 2006, and the latter from 2006 to 2014. Naturally, I know about their useful lives of three years, but they were expensive to replace in such a short period. These helmets meet the most strict standard of SNELL, but everything has its lifespan. I had to replace them in a certain span. These helmets were sitting after the end of their role in my storage room and I won't wear these helmets any more, but I feel an attachment to them. That's why I wasn't able to discard them.
The other day, I bought a Mercedes-Benz SLK200 and had to squeeze the things associated with the car into the small storage space, which was, however, too small to place all of them. I decided to throw away some of my old motorcycles related gear which I would never use in the future.
