We chartered a taxi, and went sightseeing around Oahu island today. What would happen! We were taken to Tantalus Hill firstly, from which we were able to view the whole city of Honolulu. It was higher than Diamond Head. I understood that it used to be a volcano from its distinctive terrain. The night view of Honolulu city from there would be marvelous, but that observatory is closed after sunset due to security issues. Actually, the parking lot was scattered with bits of glass. Our driver told us that vehicle burglary must have happened recently. We were in one of the most globally well-known resorts, but these bits reminded me to become more careful in an overseas resort. We, Japanese, tend to easily become a victim, lacking in carefulness abroad, as Japan is an unbelievably secure country.
