The morning of 12th. Japan's cruise ship, Asuka II, was supposed to put into Honolulu. I was going to welcome the ship on the pier, but overslept. I don't use an alarm clock in Hawaii. When I get sleepy, I hit the sack and when my eyes are open, I get up here. While I was drinking coffee idly on the balcony, I saw a white passenger ship, glittering under the tropical sunlight, passing on off Waikiki beach to the west. It appeared off Diamond Head and moved westward. The ship was reckoned to leave Kauai island last night, it must have navigated along the northern coast of Oahu. I didn't expect that I would be able to see it from my condo and was surprised to view it from the balcony. I rushed out to the beach to look at the ship as close as possible. There were few on the beach and Port Hilton, which was used for the starting point of various marine tours and the tip of which I wanted to reach, was closed. The first and second pictures were shot from the balcony, and the others were on the beach.
