People who are used to seeing the colony of mangroves would make nothing of them, but we were moved to see their colony for the first time. We felt that we were surely near a subtropical region. The comfortable walkway was set in the midst of the colony and we were able to see even the details, such as flowers of the mangroves, and small creatures living in/on the mud below the colony.

マングローブ群生地
見慣れた人には何でもない風景だと思うが、これだけ広くマングローブが育っているのを初めて見た。宿のすぐ近くにあった。泥に足を取られないよう地上１メートルほどの高さに遊歩道が設けられており、快適にマングローブ群生地を散歩できた。日本国内ではあるが、かなり南にいることを実感できた。
