We came here to eat mutton barbecue, one of the special cuisines of Hokkaido, in the meadow. Though my daughter doesn't like meat, I expected there would be some other food to barbecue, like vegetables, fish and shellfish. However, contrary to my expectations, there was nothing to eat for her, so we decided to have dinner in the city center.
As I wrote in the last entry, Dr. Clark is a kind of symbol of Sapporo City. His statue stands in Hitsujigaoka too, one of the viewpoints of Sapporo City.

At any rate, I can't understand why he endeared himself to the people of Sapporo. He was accused of fraud after returning to the U.S.
