You can hardly know where we were from the picture, but we were at Osakihana lighthouse. It's been about 45 years since the last visit. Lighthouse is pronounced "toh-dai" in Japanese just as Tokyo University.
My parents were always telling me that I had to go to "toh-dai" after a great deal of learning. Naturally, they were talking about Tokyo University, but I understood that "toh-dai" meant this lighthouse. I remember that I had wondered why I had to visit this lighthouse in the future. Anyway, the appearance around the lighthouse had remarkably changed.
Then, we parked our car at Tanohama and Takayama where we had lived and looked for the houses which we rented in those days, but we couldn't find them. The houses had disappeared. 45 years were longer than we expected.
