As you know, Mt. Whistler and Blackcomb were the places for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The Peak2Peak gondola was built for transportation between both mountains. This gondola directly connects busy points on both mountains. Before the construction of the gondola, the skiers had to go back to the base if they wanted to move between the mountains. It was 2008 when I last visited there. I saw a gondola which was placed in front of the lodge.
I used the Peak2Peak gondola two days before when it was cloudy and foggy. To tell the truth, it was lucky for me, because I don't like heights. To the contrary, however, it was temporarily clear when we got on it today. I was so scared but I could barely conceal my fear. Look at the picture. All my friends looked happy to be enjoying the magnificent view of the Canadian mountains.
I heard that the midway point of the gondola is the highest in the world. When we passed the lowest point, I was going to look at the bottom of the valley between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains even for a few seconds. However, I could only glance at it for a moment.
