After taking a quick shower, I changed my clothes into casual ones. A little later, a bus came in in front of the hotel, which had already accommodated members of the official envoy who stayed at another hotel. We were scheduled to visit a winery, Weingut Bernhard Schätzle, which was located in the Lehen district in Freiburg. I'll put together the route from my hotel to the winery below. When we reached the winery, beautiful music welcomed us. They were the local orchestra, whose pictures I'll show you below. Three members of the orchestra had visited Matsuyama City when the sister city treaty was signed 25 years ago. I saw them playing each instrument proudly. I took pictures of the signboard displaying the tasting spot and the flag of the logo of the winery. What kind of wines would be served; my expectations were getting bigger and bigger!
The party started with the greeting of the deputy of the owner of the winery, who were late due to another meeting. A German band's iconic songs from Germany and specially southern Germany were really wonderful. The winery's vaunted wines were served one after another, from Kabinett to Auslese. I enjoyed those wines to my content. I really wanted this winery to open a store in my hometown, Matsuyama City. I'd be one of the frequent customers.
