Simukappu Village

　　After lunch in Rokugounomori, I entered Shimukappu Village, and the sky got darker. I believed that I would be sure to be caught in the heavy rain sooner rather than later. I parked my scooter at a rest place, "Michinoeki Shizen Taikan Shimukappu". There were about 20 riders other than us, who were changing their jackets into rain jackets and wrapping their possessions in nylon bags. I also did so and restarted. Crossing the Hidakatouge Pass, the torrential rain started and I wasn't able to take pictures until my hotel this day. I arrived at today's hotel in Chitose City wet to the skin.

　空の色が暗くなってきた。占冠村の道の駅では雨準備にとりかかるライダー数名を見た。覚悟して２３７号線を下るようだ。日高峠を越えてからの雨は尋常では無かった。実は、この後の写真がないのだ。いかに酷い雨だったか想像できよう。びしょ濡れで最後のホテル、新千歳クラウンプラザホテルに到着。この夜は我々のためだけに店を開けてくれた日本料理店で豪華な夕食だったが、写真写りが悪いので一枚だけ酒の写真をＵｐ。
