Today's story was an affair which had actually happened half a year ago.
My new credit card came to me. It was not a regular renewal which has been made once in several years. I have several credit cards, but usually use a single card, the ANA Superflyers Card combined with VISA Gold and Star Alliance Gold for the effective collecting of points in ANA mileage service.
I have utilized this card for more than 20 years and experienced its suspension once. When I dropped in at my usual gas station to fuel my car early in the morning on the way to my workplace half a year ago, the computer of the station didn't accept my card. I paid by cash at that time. As soon as I got to my office, I received a telephone call from the card company, asking for my shopping record. Their computer judged illegal purchases by the pattern of buying on the previous night with my card and automatically suspended it. I admired the algorithm of the computer. Though I wondered how my purchases pattern would be recorded by the company, I wasn't harmed by this incident thanks to the clever computer, anyway.
Now, I'm quite fastidious about going through my bank and credit card statements regularly to see if there are any anomalies that could be a sign of scamming.
