Sunset over Russia

　　I assumed that our ship would go north through the channel between Rishiri Island and Rebun Island, but the ship turned left to the south and went around Rishiri Island counterclockwise. Why didn't the captain directly head for Sakhalin? The answer was announced by him. The announcement told us the time of sunset. I went out to the rear deck and saw the black silhouette of Mt. Rishirifuji and the sun sinking under the land of Russia. Awesome was what I call it!
