On the way back from Poring Hot Spring, we took a rest at Kundasang. At the distance of two hundreds meters along the road there was an outdoor farmers' market. Kundasang is located at a higher altitude than KK, and I assumed that's why I felt cool and comfortable there. The picture of the signboard of Kundasang police station was taken to identify where I was on the net after coming back to Japan. Actually, the point of the signboard was found on the map later. The flags in the first picture are the flags of the State of Sabah which Kundasang belongs to. I didn't know whether they raised them for their Independence Day or at any time, but the flag itself and the act of raising their own flags are beautiful.
We came by a roadside restaurant, from which I was able to view the village. That would be why N chan's father chose this restaurant. I'll upload three pictures taken from its balcony. The first one is of the village, and the second was shot toward Mt. Kinabalu, but the mountain was behind thick cloud. When I was disappointed, a bug, which I hadn't seen before, came to me. This tiny bug drove my desire to walk in the jungle at the base of Mt. Kinabalu and reach its summit. By the way I found distinguishing features in some waitresses. They would be indigenous. I really wanted to chat with them, but didn't have enough time.
