I visited Ose Cape at first on 27th, which poked out of the Izu Peninsula like a polyp and was barely connected to the land. There's a mysterious pond in Ose Cape, which keeps fresh water despite being surrounded by the sea at nearly 360-degrees. I saw some pictures of this pond on a Facebook page and was eager to see it. This was all that I knew about Ose Cape, and I was surprised to see more than the pond itself.
I left the hotel, and drove on a national road for some time. Veering off the road, I drove my car onto a narrow path, along which small parking lots were set even in a tiny space. Wondering about lots of cars - like what are the drivers doing in such a deserted area? -, I lost my way and asked someone for the right way at the dead end. Eventually I was able to arrive at the destination and I amazingly came across the person again whom I had asked the way. I'll write about him in the following entry.
