It was an unclouded blue sky today. The annual garden plant market has been running since a week ago in the nearby park, which was so crowded and lively with lots of people. The cherry tree was 50% bloomed. I decided to jog for about 10km around the park for the Honolulu Half Marathon 2 weeks ahead. You can usually see Gogoshima island which is located off the coast of Matsuyama City from the park when it's clear skies, but the island could not be seen in the haze.
As soon as I began running, I felt something different from usual with me. I had a fit of coughing at about the 1 km point, and wheezing started. I stopped running and walked in the park. Lots of kids were swarming on the play equipment.
I have no history of bronchial asthma and so I was surprised to hear my own wheeze. I checked today's weather condition online, and found a warning for a high level of PM2.5, though the level of the yellow sand from China wasn't so high. I presumed that the above symptoms would be from PM2.5 and/or pollen. I'm going to take some medicines to relieve the symptoms.
