Monument of Settlement

　　The construction of the air station started in 1942 and the inhabitants around the area were forcibly evacuated. Their houses, farms, vital wells and other important infrastructures were flattened. After the war, however, the former villagers came back to their original place and rebuilt their villages. This monument was built to praise their comebacks. I felt the hardships of people of 80 years ago.

入植記念碑

昭和17年に軍事基地の建設が決まり、古くから住んでいた住民は全て強制的に移住させられた。戦後、再び入植を開始し、今に至る歴史が看板に書かれていた。80年前の人々がどれほど辛い思いをして自らの郷土を維持してきたか、身にしみてわかった。
