Our guide told us about a spiritual site, which Mr. Ohtani, a famous baseball player, had visited. Subsequently, he earned the award, "Rookie of the Year". We hoped that we would have the same good luck as him. Its name is Pohaku Lana'i. Pohaku is "Rock" and Lana'i is "balcony" in Hawaiian. Totally, it means balcony-like rock. The rock has been a spiritual site for prayer for victory.
We heard that this place was also a sea turtles hot zone, and going to the shore, we found three sea turtles just in front of us. Hawaiians have believed since the ancient past that turtles will bring happiness to them. We were very lucky to see turtles 10 meters before us.

ガイドが近くにパワースポットがあるという。大谷翔平さんはここに立ち寄ってから成績が上がったという。ならば我々もそれにあやかるべきということで立ち寄った。パワースポットの名前はポハク・ラナイといい、ハワイ語でポハクは「岩」、ラナイは「バルコニー」ということで、バルコニーみたいな岩というわけ。古代より戦勝祈願のパワースポットだったそうです。大谷さんにはぴったりですね。
また、ここはウミガメが良くやってくる場所だというので２０メートルほど先の海岸に出てみると、、、ウミガメが３匹。なんとラッキーな。写真では見にくいのですが、ハワイへ幸運を運ぶというウミガメに出会うことが出来ました。
